The story says the leader of the Great Consolidated Popular Party (GCPP), Mr Dan Lartey, has restated the position the party has always held that the state must give equal assistance to all the political parties as a necessary step towards attaining a level playing field. The Voice says Mr Larey urged Ghanaians not to be misquided by the remarks made in Tamale by the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, that parties alone should fund themselves.
