The paper reports that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in for some turbulence. It says dissatisfaction is growing on how the party is being run, adding that what used to be polite behind the scenes grumblings are now becoming more public and robust. According to the Weekend Statesman, recent press reports that the NPP parliamentary group is grousing about how it is being led, is another manifestation of the gathering turbulence. The paper says the King David Hotel, which is a less than half a kilometre from the party's headquarters, is gradually becoming a meeting base for informal think tanks on the party's future. It says two weeks ago, 21 men and women met at the hotel to discuss how "to reform our party" for the challenges ahead. GRI
