Tamale High Court Bribed with Two Cows

Fri, 23 Mar 2012 Source: Adam Alhassan

Tamale High Court has been bribed with two cows by the elders of Andani faction in Bimbilla to clear the way for Mr Andani Dasana to hold himself as the chief of Bimbilla.

The elders of Andani side travelled to Tamale with two cows and substantial amount to bribe the registrar of the High Court and the judge who will sit on the case. The elders declared that the registrar is their man who asked them to come with the cows and cash to help them get the legal support to hold themselves as chiefs of Nanung traditional area.

Elders of Gbugmayili have vowed not to allow Mr Andani who has only being a regent to claim to be the chief of Bimbilla as was erraneously ruled by the regional house of chiefs. We are therefore telling the government that the Tamale High Court registrar is going to start a civil war in Bimbilla by his action.

We also want to state our position that the DCE Abass Mohammed who is pushing this agenda will push to District into trouble. Abass going about telling NDC executives in Bimbilla to support Mr Andani.

We are telling the government that if they don't care about the problem, we will protect our people. Our people are sick of political influence in our chieftaincy and will not sit down for them to destroy our town.

We want the government to keep an eye on the High Court registrar and the DCE must go because he can not be trusted again.
