Tamale is now very conducive for business-Minister

Tamale, Aug. 24, GNA - Mr Sam Nasamu Asibigi, the Deputy Northern Regional Minister had said that, the Tamale Metropolis was now very conducive for the expansion and development of business activities, with the continues achievement of peace in the area.

He said the metropolis was the third best place to do business in the country, after Accra and Kumasi, adding that, the metropolis also continues to enjoy the enviable position as the best cleanest city in the country.

Mr Asibigi said this during a sod cutting ceremony on Monday in Tamale, to outdoor the PZ Cusson Ghana showroom, an electronic appliances company, dubbed 'COOLWORLD'.

The Tamale's office of Coolworld Showroom is the second in the country and has a world-class electronics and appliances for retail outlets and seeks to provide its valued consumers with innovative products and retail services.

The deputy Minister said the government had pledged its unalloyed support to the growth of the private sector and is committed to it, adding that, the government would continue to provide the enabling environment for the private sector to blossom.

He said government's commitment to the sector is demonstrated by the Trade and Industrial bill, which is in the offing, to give legal backing to the private sector to expand and grow.

"My humble advice to you as a business entity, is to respect the laws of the land, as you try to capture the market and maximize benefits," Mr Asibigi added.

Mr Jim Judson, Managing Director of PZ Cussons Ghana said the company was committed to enhancing the lives of its consumers with quality and innovative products that would meet their needs.

He said the products were affordable and suitable to the climate, adding that, PZ Cussons has consistently introduced new products and new categories, including textiles, pharmaceuticals and toiletries to the market.

Mr Judson said the office was not only for electronics and appliances but also a place for networking, business, shopping, entertainment and relaxation.
