The Member said this after asking the Minister of Tourism and the Modernisation of the Capital City on steps he was taking to develop the Boti Falls.

Mr Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, the Sector Minister, had told the Member that Boti Fall's development would commence next year.

"It is anticipated that water, electricity, road and superstructure facilities including catering and accommodation facilities would be provide."

He was optimistic that when these amenities and services were provided, visitation to the Waterfalls would increase, as there would be opportunities for employment and income generation. The Minister asked people around the Waterfall to protect the vegetation in its catchment area.

'Unfortunately the Boti Waterfall is seasonal and it is being threatened by deforestation as a result farming and other human activities." 9
