Teacher/Spiritualist claims to have cure for breast cancer

A teacher and spiritualist in Tamale claims he has cure for all breast-related sicknesses including breast cancer.

A number of women, who testified that the man, Mr Abdul-Mumiu Saad, had cured them, said they went to him after unsuccessful medical treatment. One of them, recounting her experience to the Ghana News Agancy, said she developed a boil on her breast for which she sought treatment in hospital. She said the boil reoccurred after two weeks and the doctors said she had to be operated upon. "I was afraid of the operation and a friend introduced me to Mr Saad and after going through the rituals, I was healed. I have never experienced any breast problems again for the past three years," she answered.

The treatment, which is free, involves the placement of a talisman on the affected breast and the recitation of verses from the Quran after which it takes a maximum of three days to heal mainly by applying shea butter. The patient is however at liberty to go to the hospital for dressing the wound.

Speaking to the GNA, Mr. Saad declined to reveal the Quranic verses he recites saying, "it is a guarded secret I inherited from my father". Mr. Saad said he has been treating such diseases since 1983 and has recorded 100 per cent success.
