The Bongo District Director of Education Mrs. Josephine Soyire has reminded teachers that it is only through dedication and hard work that the educational reform programme can succeed. Mrs. Soyire was speaking at a meeting of teachers organised by her officer at Bongo. She deplored such practices as absenteeism, laziness andfailure to prepare lession notes and said such acts militate not only aganist the reform but aslo against tenets of the teaching profession. She therefore called on headteachers and ire noted that some of the youth involved in drug abuse are pupils and students. Teachers should therefore do somethin to address the situation.
