Techimanhene celebrates 10th anniversary

Mr Anthony Kwaku Marnuh, Techiman North District Chief Executive has appealed to the people of Techiman Traditional Area to rekindle the communal spirit and discipline to help improve the development of the area.

He said through hard work they could utilise the enormous opportunities for development and also enhance their culture through unity, love, tolerance and brotherliness that exist among their forefathers.

Mr Marnuh made the appeal at the launch of the 10th anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Oseadeeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV, Omanhene of Techiman Traditional Area at Techiman.

The celebration is on the theme “Strengthening the Partnership between Techiman Traditional Council and Stakeholders to utilize opportunities for development”.

He stressed the need for the chiefs and people of Techiman to market their rich culture, tourism and investment potentials to attract investors and promote education, socio-economic and cultural development of Techiman and Brong Ahafo Region as a whole.

Mr Marnuh commended Oseadeeyo Ameyaw for his relentless efforts to champion the developmental needs and aspirations of the communities through the mobilisation of both human and material resources to complement government efforts in the provision of social amenities such as education and infrastructure to improve the living standards of the people.

He noted that the celebration formed an integral part of their culture because of the political, social, economic, moral and religious impact on the people.

Mr Marnuh urged the youth to be patient, disciplined, diligent, hard working and respect traditional authorities in their communities and refrain from acts that would be detrimental to development in the area.

Oseadeeyo Ameyaw said with the fast development in the area, the chiefs are determined to strengthen their relationship with stakeholders to utilize opportunities towards development.
