According to Ms Duffour, this year, their target was on schools hence the group wrote to the Executive Director of Street Academy to ascertain their needs and “we were adequately informed that they needed uniforms, bags, shoes and food.”
Ms Duffour said the women had come to see the real issues on the grounds adding that “We hope that next year, the presentation would be bigger and better. Next year we would be doing more for the kids.”
Mr Ataa Lartey, Chief Executive Officer of Street Academy was elated for the donation saying the group has put smiles on the faces of the kids.
He appealed to other benevolent organisations to come and assist the kids as some of them have managed to enter secondary and tertiary institutions despite the challenged they faced.
