Two suspected notorious rapists and robbers who operate within Ada Foah are in the cooler of the Tema Regional Police Command.

The two are Petiafor Abraham, 19, an undertaker apprentice, and 24-year-old unemployed Dakeh Winfred Mohammed, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Oyirifi Akrofi Edward Johnson, Tema Regional Police Commander, lure unsuspecting young ladies, preferably Nigerians, who they sexually abuse, rob and abandon at the Colonial Prison Quarters building at Ada Foah.

Addressing a section of the media at the Regional Command on Tuesday, DCOP Oyirifi said on August 28, this year, investigations revealed that suspect Mohammed Dakeh wooed a 21-year-old Nigerian to the abandoned building, and, together with his accomplice, gang-raped the victim.

On top of that, they forcefully took her purse containing GH¢400 and an Infinix mobile phone.

Further investigations, revealed that on August 30, 2019, the duo lured another Nigerian lady to the same location, gang-raped and robbed her of her Huawei mobile phone and an amount of GH¢100.

Then on September 5, 2019, Mohammed Dakeh and Petiafor Abraham arranged and met another Nigerian lady, whom they gang-raped, robbed her of her belongings and abandoned her to her fate.

Given their strong taste for Nigerian ladies and insatiability for sex, the suspects, the next day, September 6, 2019, again invited another Nigerian from Ashaiman in an attempt to perpetuate their heinous crime once again.

“However, luck eluded them when their ‘prey’, a sister to one of the suspects’ victims, informed the police, who moved in to apprehend Mohammed. Abraham managed to escape, but Mohammed later led the police to the hideout of Abraham, where he was arrested,” DCOP Oyirifi Akrofi Edward Johnson told the press.

He said the Command, on Friday, September 13, 2019, would parade the suspects in an identification parade, where ladies who have fallen prey to the two, would identify them to enable the police put them before court.
