Tema, April 1, GNA - The Tema Regional Police Command has appealed to al= l health workers in health facilities in and around the Metropolis to alert=
the Command about people visiting the facilities with gun shot wounds. The appeal is contained in a statement issued by the Command on Wednesda= y and signed by Chief Inspector Olivia Turkson, Police Public Affairs Offic= er.
It said on March 29 two middle aged men parked a Toyota Prado and an Ope= l Astra vehicle at the Raphal Medical Centre to seek medical attention. The statement said two armed men, in a black VW Jetta, also parked in-between the two vehicles, broke their side glasses and made away with a laptop computer, personal effects and a school bag containing books. The Command said a patriotic citizen helped the Police Officer on duty a= t the premises with his car to chase the robbers amidst exchange of gun fir= e. It said in the process, the robbers who sustained some bullet wounds, abandoned their VW Jetta car at Community Eight, near Datus Complex Schoo= l and fled. A laptop computer, a printer and five different number plates were retrieved from the car.
