A former Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo, Michael Teye Nyaunu, has told 3news.com his return to the NDC is informed by the visionary leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

According to him, Ghana under President Mahama has witnessed a level of development that surpasses what his predecessors achieved. “My return to the NDC is borne out of the good works of President Mahama and the high level of confidence I have in him.

“It is important Ghanaians give President Mahama a second term because he has the advantage of age and experience on his side.”

He described President Mahama as someone who never reneges on his promises but “walk his talk”.

Michael Teye Nyaunu, popularly known as MTN, left the National Democratic Congress in 2012 after losing the parliamentary primary for Lower Manya Krobo to contest as an independent candidate. He associated himself with National Democratic Party (NDP) but says he is now back to campaign for the NDC in election 2016.

He is currently a member of the Vice President (Paa Kwasi Amissah Arthur) campaign team. MTN is confident of a one-touch victory for the NDC because of the overwhelming reception being given to them anywhere they go to campaign.

A member of the Vice President’s campaign team and leader of the Zongo Caucus, Alhaji Shamsu Kwarkwa, said the people of Zongo should not be deceived by the NPP’s Zongo for Development policy because the NDC government is already bringing massive development in Zongo communities.

He advised the youth residing in Zongo communities not to allow themselves to be used to perpetrate violence.
