The Ghanaian Democrat

The Ghanaian Democrat, in a front page story reports Mr Goosie Tanoh, a leading member of the "Reform Movement" within the NDC, as denying the claim that the First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, sought to put obstacles in his cassava chips export business.

"The First Lady is not even aware that I am into that kind of business", the paper quotes him as saying on JOY FM programme "Front Page", in Accra recently.

The Ghanaian Democrat says Mr Tanoh stated that even though "we have no problem with Prof. Mills, in principle, we think that the NDC should be one, a party of opportunity that any person who believes he has the capacity to lead this nation, should go for it".

Mr Tanoh, the paper says, explained that his call for reforms in the NDC is to enhance the principle of popular participation and democracy and not to create confusion or wreck the party. GRi
