There is a cave considered sacred located in the Eastern part of Ghana, housed at the Abetifi Stone Age Park.
The Abetifi Stone Age Park is currently the only park in Ghana that contains one of the oldest caves known to have been occupied by people in Kwahu over 12,500 years ago.
According to research conducted by the Archaeology Department of the University of Ghana, people lived in the caves for more than 10,500 years before the birth of Jesus Christ.
The cave, named Bosompra, dates back over 12,000 years and features carvings and sculptures that closely resemble humans.
Ben Addo, the founder of the park, has shared stories about the way of life of the people who once occupied this area.
According to him, they were not only hunters and gatherers but also stewards of the land they inhabited.
Today, Mr. Ben Addo states that the place now serves as a tourist site for many, including Ghanaians and visitors, who come to learn about the rich history of the area and enjoy the beauty of nature while experiencing tranquility.
