The banner headline of the Guide reads: "Shamo Quaye's daughter suffers... As father and widow trade accusations". In the accompanying story the Guide reports that nearly two years after the death of Shamo Quaye, the Ghanaian football star, his family remains deeply divided over his estate. The paper says the main problem which has resulted in accusations and counter- accusations being traded between Mr Kwaku Quaye, Shamo's father and his daughter-in-law, Tina Quaye, is over who has responsibility over a 12-year-old girl, Regina Jagbele Quaye. According to the Guide while Shamo's father says Tina must take care of the daughter fathered by his late son, the widow, who has two children of her own, is also saying that Mr Quaye, as family head, should cater for the girl's welfare.
