Accra, Aug. 27, - Share prices continued their modest rally on the Ghana Stock Exchange on Wednesday with five gainers and a loser, but in a narrow range on a moderate volume. These posted slight gains for the market indicators, with the GSE ALL-Share Index a shade of 0.54 points to 416.67 points, up from 416.13 points on Monday, as total market capitalisation also egded marginally to 2,834.57 billion cedis. The previous figure was 2,832.72 billion cedis. Players at the bourse seemed satisfied with the recent trend of the market. One dealer said, " there is growing positive sentiment among investors and but for occasional sideways trading, the market is performing slightly better as at now ". As is the trend in recent times, share offers lagged far behind bids at 952,100 to 7.7 million with a moderate 746,700 changing hands, compared to the heavy buying of 4.3 million at the last trading session. On the trading floor, Ashanti Goldfields Company (AGC) was up 10 cedis to 21,110 cedis, followed by Fan Milk Limited, also 10 cedis up to 400 cedis. Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) gained five cedis to close at 5,810 cedis. Other gainers were Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) which gained three cedis to 375 cedis and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) which edged up two cedis to end at 682 cedis. The only loser was Mobil Ghana Limited (MOGL) which dropped 50 cedis to go down to 5,950 cedis. The following are the last prices of listed equities quoted in cedis:
