The New Ghana Movement is an all-inclusive, non-partisan, new generation, nation building movement with the objective of raising a critical mass of transformed second and third generation Ghanaians, to constitute a new Ghanaian citizenry focused at building a New Ghanaian nation to compete successfully in a 21st century global-spirited world.
The nation has to be established as one led by the young who are largely capable, innovative, creative, highly industrious, productivity conscious, patriotic, dependable, efficient, revolutionary-minded, competitively new-thinking, actively quick-thinking, exhaustively-analytical, very pragmatic, solution and performance oriented, honest, credible, highly resourceful, sharp-shooting, bold, daring, highly-exposed, highly-responsible, prudent, highly-effective, extremely hard-working, time-conscious and time-bound, dynamic, pioneering, strategic- minded and globally-competitive. A nation poised to transform itself into a fully 21st century one.
China, a nation that has gone through rapid transformation in recent times, recognised after exhaustive research, that it needed a younger generation of leaders who have youthful brain power, new knowledge, fresh creative ideas, high energy levels, and dynamic enthusiasm to change the status quo, as a powerful force to create an economic revolution and compete successfully in an ever-changing, dynamic, increasingly-complex, and highly-competitive global-spirited economy.
The reality of life is that as people grow older, their strengths, ideas, perspectives, world view, knowledge and even some experiences are far out- classed by the freshness, technology, speed and fluidity of the 21st century which requires highly-energised time- conscious input. The day of Ghana's older generation is over and new leadership is born in the young. It is a new dawn.
The New Ghana Movement (NGM) will be set up in work places, schools, political parties, residential areas, groupings, associations, rural communities, religious groups, government, parliament, civil organizations, security agencies, and anywhere the New Ghana Agenda can be executed in or out of the Ghanaian nation. This should however be done with the express, written permission of the headquarters in Ghana and should be structured and run in accordance to the set rules and standards.
Membership of the movement is open to anyone who considers him or herself a part of Ghana’s Youthful Generation committed to leading the promotion of an ambitious national vision, engage in new 21st century partisan politics and business, carve out a more strategic results-focused policy direction, inject new thinking and fresh ideas, apply revolutionary methods, taking over from the older generation in all aspects of national life to take hold of the nation’s long overdue promise.
NATIONAL PLEDGE
I PROMISE ON MY HONOUR TO BE FAITHFUL AND LOYAL TO GHANA MY MOTHERLAND. I PLEDGE MYSELF TO THE SERVICE OF GHANA WITH ALL MY STRENGTH AND WITH ALL MY HEART. I PROMISE TO HOLD IN HIGH ESTEEM, OUR HERITAGE WON FOR US THROUGH THE BLOOD AND TOIL OF OUR FATHERS. AND I PLEDGE MYSELF IN ALL THINGS TO UPHOLD AND DEFEND THE GOOD NAME OF GHANA, SO HELP ME GOD.
