AgriPro International is partnering with Otunmi Farms, Open University for West Africa (OUWA) and Q-Star Microfinance to organize a community event known as the ‘ACCRA GREEN MARKET’ that aims to provide a platform for farmers, consumers and investors to interact and buy/sell local farm produce.

Accra Green Market was formed to improve food security for local residents by increasing physical and economic access to healthy food and agricultural value added products. The main aim of this event is to promote local, organic and improved agriculture products, by hosting farmers and vendors who are dedicated to providing the best local produce and products through sustainable means.

Accra Green Market will give farmers and other producers a unique opportunity to showcase and introduce their goods to a larger market to provide an effective marketing system for farmers and producers of healthy agro-products. This festive event will ensure the availability of healthy agriculture products to buyers, an opportunity to subscribe and purchase produce daily, weekly, monthly directly from farmers and also an easier acquisition of organic foods from home delivery services. There will be cultural display, cooking lessons, bouncy castle, palm wine mini bar, face painting, live music band and many more.

This event, Accra Green Market, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 14th September 2013 at Ako Adjei Park in Osu.
