Believers of the resurrection of Jesus Christ have been challenged to take authority over their empires, rebuking the devourer and destroyer in order to reclaim their blessings.
Reverend Kofi Antwi Boasiako, Resident Pastor of the Pentecost International Worship Centre ( PIWC), Atomic, in a sermon on Sunday, said most Christians had failed to realise and utilise the immeasurable power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and had allowed their shrinking faith to open doors to the devil's advancement in their lives.
The service which marked the commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from death on the third day after his crucifixion marked a critical historical event in the Christian faith.
More than 1,000 believers made up of all the English Assemblies of the Church of Pentecost in the Madina area gathered in the auditorium of the PIWC at Atomic to celebrate the occasion.
Rev. Boasiako indicated that, with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the immeasurable power of God was handed over to all believers.
He said it was important that Christians knew their worth in terms of the power they wield so that, they would be able to control their environment.
Basing his sermon on the topic: “Celebrating the resurrection and exhortation of Christ," he stressed that even though Easter was a period of the celebration of the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, people must understand the real meaning of what they are celebrating.
He cited instances where people had substituted the occasion with all manner of merry making which were often characterized by picnics, excessive drinking, eating and smoking, and other social vices to the detriment of their health and salvation.
The congregation were ushered into a time of intense prayers for spiritual breakthroughs against infertility, financial progress, increase in spiritual growth and victories against their adversaries among other challenges.**
