It has now emerged that new entrant in the radio industry in Sunyani, Storm 101.9 FM, has assembled the finest crop of presenters and managers as the station gets set for its test transmission by the close of August.

Already, the big stations in the Brong-Ahafo region, have repositioned themselves for the challenge ahead. Classic FM, Techiman, Shalom Radio, Berekum, Dinpa FM and Sky FM, both in Sunyani, have in one way or the other, felt the need to restrategise as Storm FM keeps on showing signals of tough performance.

Radio News gathered last week that top DJs, news casters and editors, marketers and other experienced radio staff have been poached from the top radio stations in Sunyani, Techiman and other parts of the country.

Former Space FM star presenter, Emmanuel Quarshie-(Hitman), was spotted last week in Sunyani and our intelligence gathered that he has finalized negotiations to make a stormy re-entry into the Sun City.

Three senior presenters of Space FM are tipped to join the storm family unless the unexpected happens in the next few days. Meanwhile, Serwaa Akoto, the Radio Queen who rocked the airwaves as the only female morning show host in Brong-Ahafo during the glorious days of Space FM, has returned to the station and has added her rich voice to the news presentation. It is likely that she would present other programmes sooner than later.

A source close to Storm FM told Radio News that the Morning Show, Drive Time, Sports, News and Social Talk Shows, would form the strength of the new radio station which is being bank rolled by one of the youngest millionaires in the country, Mr. Anthony Bennett.

Next week, your authoritative Radio News would bring updates on yet another radio station coming up in Sunyani.
