Accra, Aug. 2, GNA - Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku, Minister of Regional Integration and NEPAD has appealed to sister African governments to fully commit themselves to the work of the African Union (AU) and the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) initiative because "there is hope for Africa".

The Minister made the call when he met with Mr. Mel E.G Theodore, Ivorian Minister for African Integration, in Accra and exchanged ideas and views on the need to forge closer collaboration towards achieving the goals of the NEPAD initiative.

A statement signed by Mr. Kwame Nuako, Special Assistant to Dr Apraku said both Ministers agreed to remove all obstacles that impeded mutually beneficial trade between the two countries.

It said Dr Apraku would in September pay a visit to La Cote d'Ivoire, to continue with discussion on bilateral issue, especially on trade, investment and security.
