Some suspected armed robbers appeared shocked when they saw themselves on video during a press briefing at the National Police Headquarters on September 7, 2026.
The press briefing, led by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, saw several suspects paraded in handcuffs before the media.
During the briefing, the police played video footage allegedly showing some of the suspects participating in robbery operations.
The suspects, who were present as the footage was being played, appeared surprised as they watched themselves on the screens.

The development formed part of the police briefing on major breakthroughs in the fight against armed robbery and other forms of violent crime.
Meanwhile, the IGP has warned armed robbers and other criminals to desist from their activities, assuring the public that the police will continue to pursue and arrest those involved in criminal activities.
He cautioned criminals that they would eventually be apprehended, regardless of their attempts to evade law enforcement.
The police also displayed a number of sophisticated weapons allegedly retrieved from the suspects during their operations for the media to see.
