Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Majority Leader of the current Parliament, has expressed unwavering confidence in Frank Annoh-Dompreh’s electoral victory despite alleged attempts by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to challenge the outcome.
Speaking in an interview with Joy News, Afenyo-Markin reaffirmed his trust in due process and the NPP’s preparation to defend their position.
“We have all the world’s patience. We believe in due process. We will have patience and wait,” he said, adding,
“Whatever they do, at the end of the day, my respected colleague, Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, who is their target, will remain victorious.”
Afenyo-Markin criticised the NDC’s actions, suggesting that their efforts to contest Annoh-Dompreh’s win were futile.
He emphasised the NPP’s preparedness, noting that the party had secured and compiled all necessary documentation, including the crucial pink sheets that serve as evidence of results from polling stations.
“They cannot defeat him. We have all our pink sheets. We have scanned them also. We have sought copies.
“We have everything compiled, so we have nothing to fear at all,” Afenyo-Markin stated confidently.
