Third electricity bulk supply point soon

Accra, May 18, GNA - The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is to construct a third electricity Bulk Supply Station at East Legon in Accra to reduce the load on supply stations at Achimota and Mallam. The construction, which would be undertaken in collaboration with the Volta River Authority, is aimed at reducing the intermittent power outages being experienced in the Accra Metropolis as well as improving its service delivery.

Accra, May 18, GNA - The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is to construct a third electricity Bulk Supply Station at East Legon in Accra to reduce the load on supply stations at Achimota and Mallam. The construction, which would be undertaken in collaboration with the Volta River Authority, is aimed at reducing the intermittent power outages being experienced in the Accra Metropolis as well as improving its service delivery.
The Director of Operations of the ECG, Mr Tontoh Baffour told the Mr Baffour urged members of the public to use electricity judiciously to complement ECG's efforts in improving power supply. He said as part of efforts to cater for the growing population of Accra, ECG in collaboration with VRA was also upgrading the supply station at Mallam to double its output from 132 mega voltage amperes to 264 mega volts amperes.
