Ghana international Thomas Partey missed a glorious opportunity to get his first goal of the season in Atletico Madrid’s easy win over strugglers Osasuna.
The Ghanaian was named in the starting line-up by Diego Simeona and Partey produced a solid performance with the only scar on his outing being a 90th minute penalty miss.
It was a wonderful opportunity which the Ghanaian keenly debated with his colleagues before stepping up to take.
He was however left dejected and red faced after watching his kick go wide though it had no damaging effect to what was a general stroll in the park for the Madrid based club.
A brace from Belgian Yannick Carrasco and a cool finish from Brazilian Filipe Luis, his 3rd goal in 5 games had already secured the points.
