Thousands throng beaches to celebrate Easter Monday

Thousands of revellers from parts of Accra and Tema thronged the La Pleasure Beach and the Tawala Beach Resort on Monday, April 2, 2018 to celebrate the death and resurrection day of Jesus Christ.

On a perfect weather condition, people from all parts in the capital besieged the La Beach by committing themselves to swimming and relaxing whiles other revelers engaged themselves in recreational activities including foundry sand, acrobatics, dancing, horse riding, football, volleyball, horse riding, motorbike riding among others.

Though the beach was packed with people for the last day of the national holiday in Accra, Ghana, a huge crowd was seen at the entrance clocking to the resort.

As the fun escalates, lifeguards were seen at vantage points in the sea to enforce swimming limits in order to prevent people from drowning.

Security was also beefed up to maintain calm and sanity at the beach and also ensured safety at the car park.”
