Tsopoli, June 13, GNA- Three women died on the spot and several others seriously injured, when a Tipper truck collided with a Nissan Urvan bus at Tsopoli in the Dangme West District of the Greater Accra Region on Friday morning.
The bodies of the dead, believed to be fishmongers, were conveyed to the Police Hospital Mortuary, while the injured were also rushed to the Battor Catholic Hospital.
An Eye witness said, the truck with registration number GW 3456 Y, which was travelling from Aflao veered off its lane and collided with the bus with registration number GR 9283 Z, heading towards Aflao from Ashaiman.
The witness said the bus was loaded with fish, indicating that the women were fishmongers. Chief Inspector Sampson Asafove of the Prampram police confirmed the story to the GNA and said they are conducting investigations into the matter. 13 June 08
