As the President prepares to present the State of the Nation Address tomorrow, February 21, 2019, a cross-section of Ghanaians are asking the government to tighten up the security system, stabilize the cedi, and review the double track system.

With the rising state of vigilantism, kidnappings, and murder of innocent people, they pleaded with the president to develop a road map to put an end to these issues.

“For me, I think that President Akufo-Addo is a bold leader who wants to leave a lasting legacy…We must all support him to achieve results. He must, however, step up his game to curb the security challenges.”, a businesswoman said.

Speaking to Ghanaweb on the TRENDING GH series, a number of people also stated stated that the government need to put in a lot of effort this year, particularly on some campaign promises such as putting measures in place to stop the double track system, One District, One Factory, One village, One Dam and the creation of jobs.

"We are in the double track system of the ‘free SHS’ policy, hopefully, the president should point out the things his government is doing to build more infrastructure, more school building to ensure that the double track system will be out to an end", a respondent told Ghanaweb.
