In what was considered a “prophetic clapback”, Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder of God's Way International Ministry, sent a warning to former President Jerry John Rawlings for saying that the “prophet” was using the name of God to exploit monies from his followers.

Angel Obinim, who claimed to have lost respect for Mr. Rawlings sent his last warning asking him to stay out of his business.

"You have a so-called President (former) called JJ who is in this country and misbehaving...all because I have kept quiet. You don't respect me, so how am I also going to respect you?"

Bishop Daniel Obinim, Founder and Leader of the God's Way International Ministry has broken his long silence over some comments made by Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings.

Ex-President Rawlings, who was addressing a durbar to crown the 2014 Amu (brown rice) Festival of the Chiefs and people of the Avatime Traditional Area at Avatime Gbadzeme in the Volta Region slammed Bishop Obinim and Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, for misusing the name of God and exploiting their followers.

In a quick riposte to Ex-President Rawlings, Bishop Obinim, who had obviously finished church service, took time to grill Mr. Rawlings for making comments about him.

Firing back at Mr. Rawlings, he sternly asked the latter to stop "misbehaving" in this country.

Bishop Obinim warned Ex-President Rawlings not to poke his nose into his matters since he (Obinim) has much respect for his personality.

"You have a so-called President (former) called JJ who is in this country and misbehaving...all because I have kept quiet. You don't respect me, so how am I also going to respect you?"

According to him, he has been silent over Rawlings' comment due to interventions by some government officials behind closed doors.

"Your own leaders and people told me to keep quiet...I have a video of the statements you, President JJ (former), made about me. It was your own leaders who called me and said I (Bishop) shouldn't respond. You are a President (former). I respect you. All Pastors here respect you. Respect Yourself as a President [former]!

"If you were old enough, you would have used your wisdom to benefit the young ones coming up. Let this be your last."
