Today newspaper holds 4th Annual Lecture

Today newspaper in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication will hold its 4th Annual Lecture on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

As part of its corporate social responsibilities, three years ago Today, instituted what has now come to be known as the Today Annual Lecture Series to brainstorm on some topical issues that are relevant to the growth of the country’s democratic governance.

“Since our establishment some nine (9) years ago, the Today Newspaper has contributed to the developmental agenda of the country as well as ensuring that the country’s democratic dispensation is firmly rooted where governments and people in position of authority are held accountable for their stewardship.

“This year’s lecture which is under the theme: Using Digital Technology To Accelerate Business Growth In Ghana will bring together captains of industries, entrepreneurs, businessmen and women, students, development partners, trade unions, communication giants, bankers, security agencies, government appointees, the media and ICT related agencies to take advantage of the benefits ICT offers for business development in developing countries like ours,” a statement from Groupe Nduom’s corporate affairs manager Richmond Duke Keelson said.

The programme will delve into how digital technology can help businesses in the country to grow and contribute to the Ghanaian economy.

The one-day programme, will be explore five ways of enhancing business through technology will be addressed by Mrs. Yolanda Cuba, the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone, Ghana and also a financial expert; and Mr. Kwesi Boakye Acheampong, a technology expert.

The event will be chaired by the Board Chairman of the National Communication Authority (NCA), Mr. Kweku Sekyi-Addo. The Special Guest of Honour is the Minister of Communications, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
