Accra (Greater Accra Regon), 11 Nov. 1998 Samuel Ntim Gyakari, a trader, today appeared before an Accra circuit tribunal charged with stealing 40 bags of skimmed milk valued at seven million cedis.

Gyakari pleaded not guilty to stealing the items belonging to two traders and was granted 10 million cedis bail to reappear on Monday, November 23.

Police Inspector Paul K. Frimpong told the tribunal, chaired by Mrs Owusu Arhin, that Madam Suzzy Opoku and Madam Ophelia Boateng, both traders, ordered the milk from Lome to be deposited at a warehouse in Accra.

The prosecutor said on September 30, this year, the two traders went to the warehouse to clear the 40 bags of milk for their customers, but they could not find them.

Personal investigations by them later established that the goods were collected by the accused, the prosecution added.
