Mr Tsoyfo Kumi, a representative of traditional authorities of Tsito near Ho on Wednesday charged traditional authorities to actively encourage their subjects to participate in the forthcoming biometric voters’ registration exercise.

He described the exercise as a civic responsibility and urged all eligible persons in the community to get registered.

Mr Kumi said this at a community sensitization forum at Awudome-Tsito on the biometric voters’ registration organized by Chaufra Company and ABC Concepts, with financial support from Strengthening Transparency, Accountability and Responsiveness (STAR)-Ghana, a good governance advocacy group.

He said though serious farming had begun, it was necessary that people sacrificed a bit, to make the exercise successful.

Mr Edem Richmond Kpotosu, Chief Executive of Chaufra, which is into community education through drama and puppetry said it appeared many people had heard about the exercise but knew very little about the processes.

Centre For National Culture (CNC) drama troupe performed a drama piece to educate the gathering on the biometric voters’ registration exercise.**
