Madina, Sept 1, - A transport owner has called for stiffer punishment for all driver 'banzas' (killer drivers) to save the travelling public from avoidable accidents and further loss of lives. Madam Faustina Twumasi, a Madina transport owner, was bitterly complaining to the GNA about the attitude of Nana Yaw, the driver of her Urvan bus with Registration Number GT 2641C. She said though Nana Yaw commutes between Madina and the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, he took the vehicle to Techiman near Kade last Friday and involved it in an accident but failed to report to the police. Nana Yaw sent her relatives to inform Madam Twumasi about the accident in which a woman passenger and the driver's mate were seriously injured. Madam Twumasi said the injured woman who reported the accident to the Techiman police atrributed the accident to overspeeding.
