National Democratic Congress [NDC] flagbearer hopeful, Alban S.K. Bagbin has disclosed that it is very rare to say the truth in Ghana, when even the well educated have just refused to associate themselves with what they know for a fact.
“It is unfortunate that our democracy is seen to be degenerating and in fact all the signs are there, now that we are moving towards a crisis situation, some of these signs are; first you can see now knowledge without character, you will see a well-educated person speak and you see dishonesty in whatever they say. You also see now in Ghana wealth without work, they all create conflicts and violence,” he said.
Making reference to the nine witnesses who have already appeared before the Commission investigating the Ayawaso West Wuogon by–election, he asserted their submissions show that it is not easy to come across truth in Ghana.
“ . . But today truth in Ghana is very scarce, all over there are plenty researches to that effect, just look at the ongoing Commission of Inquiry probe, do you believe what the witnesses have reported on so far, do you think they are speaking honestly?” he asked host Yaa Konama.
The Member of Parliament for Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency in the Upper West Region in an interview with UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ show, confidently stated that he will win the NDC flagbearership contest come Saturday because he has never failed any election he contests.
“By the grace of the almighty God I have not failed before and my parliamentary records will attest to that. I have developed a skill of very good human relations which is very important in the life of every leader and a unique character that makes me create equal opportunity for all,” he said.
