Two ECG Wokers Electrocuted On Duty

Tema, Aug. 17, - The Tema Community One Police is investigating the circumstances leading to the electrocution of two employees of the Ghana Telecom. Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr Agripe Apetu, the District Crime Officer, gave the names of the deceased as Mr Sampson Basie and Mr Ahmed Kumi. He said Mr Kwadwo Obeng, the third employee who received severe burns in the incident, is on admission at the Narbita Hospital at Community Four. According to the police, a steel telephone pole which the workers were removing from under an electricity high tension line, last Thursday, came in contact with the high tension and the two were electrocuted, leaving Obeng with severe burns. Meanwhile the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Tema General Hospital for autopsy.
