Two New Juaben royals arrested for assaulting the Queenmother

Koforidua, March. 5, GNA- The New Juaben Municipal Police has granted bail to Nana Topen Serebour and Nana Agyemang, members of the New Juaben Royal Family to assist in investigations into an alleged assault of Nana Yaa Daani, Queen mother of New Juaben traditional area. According to the Municipal Commander of police, Superintendent John Naami, the Queenmother Nana Yaa Daani, reported on Sunday that, she was at the palace, when the two accused persons, who were passing by, saw her and started casting insinuations at her that she was a prostitute. The Queen mother also insulted them and they became infuriated and attempted to attack her but the people around restrained them. Nana Agyemang however managed to climb over the palace fence and entered to physically assault the Queen mother. Supt. Naami said in their statement, Nana Topen Serebour admitted that verbal assault ensued between them and the Queenmother as a result of a long litigation.
