Ibrahim Karimuage, a 32-year-old scrap dealer from Adoagyiri-Nsawam Zongo and Eric Kofi Obeng, a 61-year- old farmer have appeared before Nsawam District court charged with conspiracy and murder.
They are accused of murdering one Otend Twum Vanderpuije. Their pleas were not taken and they would reappear on December 10.
Prosecuting, Chief Police Inspector Sampson Dobene told the court presided over by Judge Alberta Amponsah that on November 07 the two accused persons and others at large wore masks, armed themselves with cutlasses and attacked the deceased in his house.
The deceased shouted and this drew people to the house but the accused persons and others at large took to their heels and left him in a pool of blood.
A report was made to the police who conveyed the Vanderpuije to the Nsawam Government Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The prosecuting said there is a case of trespassing involving Obeng and the deceased at the Nsawam Circuit Court in respect of land belonging to the deceased which Obeng is claiming ownership.
The prosecution said the accused persons and their accomplishes now at large have for some time now been threatening those who had acquired land from the deceased, claiming the land belongs to Adjor family of which Obeng is the head.
It said on November 03, the accused persons and others now on the run threatened the deceased and some occupants of land that they would teach the deceased a bitter lesson if he failed to vacate the land.
