Kumasi, March 14, GNA - A Kumasi circuit court on Friday granted a 100 million cedis' bail with two sureties each to two teenagers for allegedly gang raping 15-year-old JSS three pupil at CPC, a suburb of Kumasi.

Augustine Aboagye, 19, a trader and Osei Kwabena, 17, unemployed, pleaded not guilty to the charge and will re-appear before the court on April 1.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Evelyn Addo told the court that the accused persons, who reside at Ashtown, a suburb of Kumasi, were family friends to the victim's family.

On February 21 the victim met the first accused person, Osei Kwabena while on her way to send food to her sister who operated a communication centre at CPC.

She said Osei asked the girl to accompany him to Aboagye's house to collect his compact disc.

Chief Inspector Addo said the victim obliged and upon reaching the second accused person's room they put off the lights and ordered the victim to lay on the bed.

The victim refused but the accused persons pushed her on the bed and forcibly had sex with her in turns.

The victim told her mother about her ordeal and a report was made to the Women and Juvenile Unit of the Ghana Police Service in Kumasi.
