Two before court for alleged narcotic drug dealing

Two young men have been put before the Tema circuit court A, for possessing substances suspected to be narcotic drugs.

Narrating the incidence to the court, the Prosecutor Chief Inspector Susana Akpeerer said the Complainants are police officers stationed at Kpone. She said the suspects Felix Adjetey Mavado a student and Enock Noye unemployed all reside at Kpone.

Chief inspector Susana Akpeere said on 26th of April, 2019 at about 19: 00, the kpone District Command had information that a group of men were seen dealing in narcotic drugs at Dortia and Kpone lorry park, suburbs of Kpone. A team of police went to the first scene at Dortia and arrested the first suspect Felix Adjetey Mavado with one wrap of dried leaves concealed in his pocket suspected to be narcotic drugs meant to be used.

A search in the wooden structure which harbors a lot of people suspected to be peddlers in narcotic substances where the first accused was arrested revealed 10 compressed slaps, 460 wraps and a quantity of dried seeds concealed in polythene bags kept in a deep freezer all suspected to be narcotic drugs.

The Police further went to the Kpone lorry station where the second suspect Enock Noye was arrested with 33 packed “Jerry Jerry dried leaves ” 133 wraps of dried leaves and a handful of dried leaves concealed in polythene bags as well as concoction in water dispenser all suspected to be narcotic drugs.

The prosecutor added that, investigations are on-going, while the exhibits have been forwarded to the Forensic laboratory for testing and report. The Judge ordered that the two suspects remain in police custody to reappear in court on the 15th of June 2019 for further adjudication.
