Two flogged mercilessly for stealing fowl

Two suspected fowl thieves have been flogged mercilessly by community elders in a video that has gone viral on social media.

It is not immediately known which community the incident happened and when it occurred but what has been gathered is that it could be a community in the Ashanti region as actors are heard speaking the Twi dialect.

In the video which is about a minute and a half long, two young men in their early 30s are in turns laid on a bench and subjected to severe flogging by an elder called soldier man.

From the conversation as the two are being beaten, one is accused of stealing the fowl and another asked to accompany him to the market to sell prior to their arrest.
