Black Stars striker Raphael Dwamena has lauded Kumasi fans for their massive support following the team's 5-0 emphatic victory over Ethiopia in the 2019 Cup of Nations qualifier.
Ghana started their 2019 AFCON Qualification campaign with a commanding 5-0 victory over the Walias of Ethiopia Sunday at the Baba Yara sports stadium and the FC Zurich striker who hit brace in the game is pleased with the support the Black Stars received from the people of Kumasi and its environments.
Speaking in an interview with SportsworldGhana.com after the game at the team's Hotel said he was excited to hit brace in his maiden game for the Back Stars but says the victory wouldn't have come in a grand style if the fans had not supported them immensely.
''I' m glad I scored two goals in the game as a striker and I look forwarding to scoring more when ever I am offered the chance to feature for the team'' an elated Dwamena told SportsworldGhana.com on Sunday.
He continued'' It was my first time playing at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and I must tell you the support was amazing . The fans have really shown us love and we are grateful.''.
