Two in court for India Hemp

Asamankese, Jan 29. GNA - A circuit court at Asamankese, has remanded two persons for possession 65 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp. The pleas of Kofi Atta, a 36-year-old trader and Kwaku Asabre, miner, 32, were not taken and they would reappear before court on February 4. Police Chief Inspector Kate Ogyiri told the court that the Asamankese police on January 14 had a tip off that a gang was dealing in Indian hemp in a ghetto at Asamankese.

Asamankese, Jan 29. GNA - A circuit court at Asamankese, has remanded two persons for possession 65 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp. The pleas of Kofi Atta, a 36-year-old trader and Kwaku Asabre, miner, 32, were not taken and they would reappear before court on February 4. Police Chief Inspector Kate Ogyiri told the court that the Asamankese police on January 14 had a tip off that a gang was dealing in Indian hemp in a ghetto at Asamankese. Prosecution said when the police made a swoop Atta and Asabre were arrested in possession of 65 wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp. Chief Insp. Ogyiri said the dried leaves have been sent to the police forensic crime laboratory in Accra for examination.
