Two mem before court for murder

Breman-Asikuma (C/R), Aug. 5, GNA - Three men suspected to have murdered a 72-year old farmer, Samuel Kwabena Abban in the bush at Agya Atta village near Breman Kontanase have been arraigned before the Breman-Asikuma magistrate court last Friday.

They were Ofori Kwadwo Attah Rockson, 37, Yaw Adabo, 93 alias James Odoom, and Abraham Kwame Donkor, 47 who are farmers.

The court, presided over by Mr Asmah A. Asiedu granted bail to Donkor in a sum of 30 million, while the other two were remanded in policy custody to re-appear before the court on August 15.

Prosecuting, Police Detective Inspector David Nkromah Danso said that the deceased bid farewell to the suspects at the village that he was visiting a nearby village Asare Kwaa at about 5 am on July 12, this year.

Detective Inspector Danso said at about 8 am on the same day the junior brother of the deceased, Kofi Attah 68 was also going to buy food from Asare Kwaa when he saw his brother lying in a pool of blood on the footpath leading to Asare Kwaa.

He said following a report associated with land dispute the accused were arrested.

The body was deposited at Cape Coast Regional Hospital where pathology report stated severe head and neck injuries with haemorrhage from lacerations on the head and fracture of cervical vertebrae.
