Two nurses got injured by gunshots in a fresh Bawku fight that ensued on Tuesday evening, StarrFMonline.com understands.
According to our reporter, the incident occurred at Sagabo, a suburb of Bawku in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Locals had to run for cover following the intermittent gunshots in neighbouring communities such as Gingande, Patelmi and the town central.
The latest shooting is believed to be a reprisal attack after Monday’s clash that resulted in two deaths with several injured.
The Bawku Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Kaledzi Tefutor, assured StarrFMOnline.com that his charges are in control of the murky situation. He could not readily confirm any casualties.
However, Chief Supt Tefutor confirmed that two people are still on admission at the Presby Hospital following the previous shooting, “but no one has been arrested yet.”
