UFP wishes Ghanaians Merry Christmas

The United Front Party (UFP) is wishing Ghanaians, both home and abroad, a merry Christmas.

A statement signed by Dr Nana Agyenim Boateng, the Founder of the UFP, copied to the Ghana News Agency, said we all want to celebrate Christmas in a peaceful manner and we hope the same peaceful atmosphere would continue to prevail in the coming years, especially in 2016, an election year.

“UFP believes that the peaceful atmosphere that has characterized the celebration of national occasions is a priceless commodity which when disturbed could cost dear lives in the country and beyond.

“It is on this mettle, that the party would want to share in commending President John Dramani Mahama and the security agencies for the relative peace enjoyed by Ghanaians,” the statement said.

“We at UFP believe that it is only when there is peace that all opposition parties including the UFP would get the pride of the place to contest the ruling National Democratic Congress in the upcoming 2016 general election so as to deepen democracy in country,” it said.

The statement said the UFP deems it appropriate to appeal to all Ghanaians to continue to pray for a continuous peaceful atmosphere for the rest of the year 2015 and the upcoming 2016, an election year.

“Let us all endeavor to pray for President Mahama, the security agencies and all security stakeholders to maintain the peaceful atmosphere that many a Ghanaian would wish for and this is nothing but the humble prayer of the UFP,” it said.
