Universal Merchant Bank, a leading indigenous Ghanaian Bank today announced a package of support to enable Ghanaian Muslims undertake the Hajj Pilgrimage safely and securely with the UMB prepaid visa cards.
The prepaid visa cards from UMB allow Ghanaians who do not have to be customers of the Bank apply for and get a fully functional visa card on which they can load their cash unto. These cards are enabled so that they work safely and securely online and in most countries around the world, including Saudi Arabia.

All our branches in Ghana are enabled to deliver these visa cards, and the typical wait time for both customers and non-customers to apply for the cards is not more than 15 minutes. We are in a state of advanced talks with the authorities to see how the issuance of the cards can be facilitated to Pilgrims of the Hajj as part of the Hajj package from Ghana.
