The Children's ward of the Kprle Bu Polyclinic has received medical supplies and other items worth GH 10,000.00 to help boost its operations. The items were oral disposable thermometer sheaths, digital thermometers, bed sheets and bed linen.

The Children's Ward of the Korle Bu Polyclinic has received medical supplies and other items worth GH 10,000 to help improve healthcare delivery.

They were donated by the Prestige Society African Women Achievers of Chicago, a group of African women entrepreneurs based in Chicago in the United States of America.

Presenting the items, the Secretary of the group Mrs. Patience Mensah-Nunoo, said the donation was in line with the society's charitable services to the needy and the less endowed in society.

She stated that as part of this cause, the group adopted the children's ward of the polyclinic and for the past 10 years had donated items meant to make life easier for the children on admission and all those involved in the day to day administration of the ward. She gave the assurance that the group would continue to support the ward in it operation.

The Acting Head of the polyclinic, Dr. Osa Olayemi, who received the items, expressed the polyclinic's appreciation to the group, stating that "the support will go a long way to help the ward and the polyclinic as a whole to further enhance its it's activities."
