Focus Consulting Group (FCG) LLC an American based banking firm is in Ghana to offer training to bankers in a wide range of consulting services. The training, which is scheduled to commence in August this year, would be for all banking institutions in the country.

The Senior Vice President and Head of the Africa Division, Mr. Green E. Dim made this known in Accra last week.

Talking to a cross section of bankers, Mr. Dim said he focuses on all aspects of the company's international business development and operations including consulting, partnerships and alliances as well as development of a professional team of consultants.

He said his concentration is in lending, international banking, credit policy and administration, problem loan management and project financing.

Mr. Dim said most of their training services are conducted though their International Banking Academy. He said FCG uses consultants to provide training in all areas of banking including credits, sales and marketing, capital markets, assets and liability management, international trade financing, problem loan management strategies, and operations.

FCG will review designs and implement new and enhanced processes and procedures for achieving optimum performance including introduction of new products and services that are geared to generating higher revenue and profitability, maintaining good assets quality and generating above average returns for shareholders.

It will assist senior and executive management in developing medium to long term business plans that will strategically position their companies both in terms of achieving optimum profitability with good asset quality and in terms of staying ahead of the competition.

FCG will assist banks in developing an overseas correspondent banking relationship in order to establish lines of credit for overseas transactions and confirmation of trade letters of credit. It will also use its extensive industry knowledge and network to match corporation partners around the world, including the development of distributorships, franchises and exclusive dealerships.
