Mark Addo, the Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, has charged the Upper West Regional Football Association (UWRFA) to be proactive in tackling the local problems that the association may be confronted with.

He further reiterated the need for the RFA to look within in finding solutions to some of the challenges confronting them without necessarily soliciting support from external sources.

He made this call on Thursday, September 27, 2024, during a crucial meeting with the UWRFA Executive Committee at the RFA secretariat to discuss strategies for the development of football in the region, address challenges, and align the regional association's goals with the national agenda.

The meeting began with an overview of the RFAs' work last season.

The UWRFA Chairman, Alhaji D. S. Yahaya, presented a comprehensive report highlighting the achievements and challenges faced by the association.

He spoke of successes in youth development in the region, and the struggles of the RFA in renting an office complex, among others.

The meeting was a resounding success in proposing possible solutions to the myriad of challenges highlighted.
