Police Inspector Etrew said enquiries made by the complainant led to the arrest of Baba, an errand boy for lodgers at the guesthouse and a report was made to the Jamasi police. The prosecution said, during interrogation, the accused confessed stealing the mobile phone and told the police that he sold it to a certain driver's mate at Aboaso for 20,000 cedis but efforts to trace the alleged driver's mate proved futile and Baba was charged with the offence.
